Anything on MTV. It's so stupid anymore. Bunch of reality TV garbage. I liked it when they actually had music videos, Beavis and Butthead, and Daria.

i understand the gentile times / seven times thing that gives you 2520 years ( 7 x 360).
i understand the day for a year calculation.. but the part i don't get is why only 360 days for a year and not 365 or 365.25, you can't calculate only 360 days a year through history because it would throw everything off.. hey maybe the watchtower will get "new light" on this and change it to 365 , it would give them an extra 35 years to work with ????.
Doesn't that story in Daniel about the King who turned into a wild beast or whatever also fit into the calculations somewhere?
I never could figure the thing out. They jump around to like 10 scriptures, do a bunch of math, count the number of hot dogs eaten, divide it by the number of times the Yankees won the world series, all to the power of the number of times Michael Jordan has retired and returned to the NBA.

Heh. When I was a tutor, which was required work for one of my education classes, I refused to participate in the Halloween party because I was associated with JWs at the time. I told the teacher the reason, and she got mad, and wrote a bad disposition report and sent it to the education department at my college.
Anyway, the lady that typed it mistakenly called me a Jehovah's Whiteness. LOL! I showed it to the two guys I studied with and even they got a kick out of it.

I always wondered about that when I was studying with them. To make matters worse, in their Questions Young People Ask book, it shows young people hanging out and having a good time. Not once do I remember hanging out with a group of people my age while associated with the JWs.
And I remember very few get togethers.
It was mostly meetings, study, and field service.
All work and no play makes a JW a dull boy.

the jehovah's witness i believe is being utterly deceptive about what is actually taught in the watchtower publications and kingdom halls, or is secondary to that of being a member of 'jehovah's organization' what do y'all think?
do you think this would fly if he were say on a mb simply of jehovah's witnesses or the kingdom hall?
Salvation: It is a free gift from God that we cannot earn. It is based on Faith in Jesus.
But he forgot to mention that "faith without works is dead." The JWs are usually pretty good about brining that "point" up.
I wouldn't call it a lie per se, but it certainly is a watered down version of what they believe.
